In 1 Timothy 2:9-10 Paul tells us that we need to have modest clothing on that would profess godliness. If you read this verse you see that Paul is talking directly to the women, but if we keep Doctrine and Covenants 61:18, 36 in mind we know that if God gives a commandment onto one he gives it unto all. Then read Moses 6:9, Mosiah 2:37, and Alma 41:2 we can learn how our bodies could be considered sacred: We are created in the image of God, Our bodies are considered as Temples, For they will be resurrected in in a manor that they will be fully restored. These reasons can help us to know the reasons why our bodies should be modestly covered. If we are given such a gift that we are in the image of God we had better keep our bodies sacred because we reverence God in a sacred way. Also as our bodies are temples. I do not think that anyone would want their temple defiled. That should say it all. And to consider that our bodies are to be restored in their fullness, and we are in the image of God, being temples that should tell you that our bodies are very precious even more precious than the most precious stone on earth. This I hope would help anyone to take really and I mean really good care of our bodies. In Alma 1:32 we are reminded of the other reason Paul warned us about. Wearing of costly apparel tells people we are slightly selfish, or in some cases very selfish. And there is probably a much better place for our money than that expensive clothing that is completely excessive. Now I ask the question, “What can you do to apply these principles in your life?” I see myself trying to live in a much more humble manor, with quality things but not overly expensive. Also all of the things that I will ever buy is going to be modest.

Paul then list the evidences that are of the result of people not following the gospel. It comes from the scripture 1 Timothy 4:1-5.

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
In verse 12 in 1 Timothy 4 we can take this council that apears to be directed to the youth and apply it to someone going on a misssion or even recieving a responsibility like a calling. We are called in our youth, or when we don’t quite know everything but we can know as we take it one step at a time. And be an example. The scripture says to be an example of the believers. All we need is to believe and act like we believe.
In 1 Timothy 6:7-11 we read that the love of money can be something that can be very destructive. This means that all of us need to be aware that money is the root of all evil. What might this mean the root of all evil. Well we do all want more money, but when we have a lot of money we need to be very careful because the wanting of more can hurt us. For then we covet money and that is breaking one of the 10 commandments.
If we continue on in that chapter to verse 17-19 we find that if we find ourselves rich we always must focus on Christ. We must put the Lord first and always. This same council is repeated in Jacob 2:18-19.
